Yikes, is February almost over...

I can't believe it's the last week in February and I haven't made a dent in my "to-do list". It's pretty well banged up but seems longer than the tail on a comet. Every time I cross one thing off, two more seem to get added and I don't think I'm making any progress. I was finally forced to do the only reasonable thing, put it out of sight. Ahhhhhhhh, that feels better even if it is only temporary. My own mental stimulus solution.

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful outpouring of love and prayers for Muffin and his surgery last week. He came through it well and now we'll have to wait and watch to see if the tumor recurs. He's sporting a new "do" on his head these days. Shaved to the skin above his right eyebrow (to access some gross growths) he's making a doggie fashion statement. What a pup, always a trend-setter!

It's hectic with a lot of foodie going-ons around here. Today (Tuesday) Amy is serving up her yummy Southern Comfort food, guaranteed to soothe your soul. Tonight Stephanie & Rahel will be sharing their love of Ethiopian food with a full house (both seatings SOLD OUT) but you can still make reservations for their next dinners on Tuesday March 10th & March 24. Parvin has released her exciting menu for the Persian Dinner on Wednesday March 18 and I'll post it at the end of this note. I've finally found my courage to light the new gas grill and for lunch on Thursday we'll be doing Things on Sticks. Stephanie (a woman of many talents) has been planting herbs & veggies in my organic garden out back, soon to appear on your plate.

Here are the menus for this week, February 24 - 28, 2009:
